Results-oriented visionary Leader

Proficient hands-on engineer with diverse background stretches across academia and transportation industry. I have a bachelor degree in electronics engineering and telecommunication, Master of Engineering Science in telecommunication, and PhD in Electrical Engineering. Currently I am working on an executive master of business administration degree. Personally, I grew up in a very scientific environment. My father and mother were professors in chemistry and I have a brother and a sister whom specialize in medical science.

I started my career in academia. I loved teaching which I think is very rewarding career. However, after few years, I reached a point in my career where I felt like it was time to make the shift in my life in the pursuit of what I considered to be a new challenge. Despite the fear that I would never be able to come back, I decided to alter the course of my career and left academia for private industry to use the solid academic skills I have developed in a different field

I am a strong believer in continuous improvement, both within the working environment and life which has been an amazing journey of career growth; I never feel like I have reached my destination. I think it’s probably because I love what I do, and I never stop learning. I enjoy the ride as I change jobs, types of work tasks and even location of the jobs. It is important to me that I have a passion for whatever path my life takes. Since I have control over that path, I am choosing to pursue a career that will provide my life with both meaning and satisfaction.

The career path that I have taken within the private industry has allowed me to work in different countries around the world and it has been full of challenges and has required adaptability, resilience, and persistence. The common thread throughout my career with private industry has been a passion for—and successful track record in—leading teams, developing others, building strong business relationships and bringing people together to achieve a common goal and vision.
